FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

About Our Dates

Where do your dates come from?

Our dates are grown in Al-Qassim, Saudi Arabia — one of the world's most renowned regions for premium date cultivation. We own our farms and factory, hand-picking each date at peak ripeness before carefully packaging and exporting them directly to France and across Europe.

Are your dates 100% natural with no additives or preservatives?

Absolutely. Our dates contain nothing but the fruit itself — no added sugars, no preservatives, no artificial flavors or colors. Just pure, natural goodness.

How do you ensure the quality of your dates?

Quality starts at the source. Every date is carefully hand-selected at our Saudi farms, sorted to remove imperfect fruit, then packaged under controlled conditions and stored at the optimal temperature for each variety. This farm-to-door approach ensures you receive only the finest dates.

What is the difference between Ajwa, Sukary Rateb, Saghai, and Sukary Mftel?

Each variety has its own unique character:

  • Ajwa: Dark, firm, and rich in antioxidants. Known for their deep, complex flavor and cultural significance in Saudi Arabia. A top choice for health-conscious consumers.
  • Sukary Rateb: Golden-brown, buttery-soft, and exceptionally sweet. Known as the "King of Dates" — melt-in-your-mouth texture, perfect for everyday snacking and gifting.
  • Saghai: A distinctive two-tone variety (golden tip, darker base) with a semi-soft texture and gently balanced sweetness. Traditionally served with Arabic coffee or offered to guests.
  • Sukary Mftel: Shares the natural sweetness of Sukary Rateb with a slightly drier texture — ideal for those who prefer less moisture and enjoy dates as a longer-lasting snack.

What are the health benefits of dates?

Dates are one of nature's most nutrient-dense foods. They are:

  • High in dietary fiber, supporting healthy digestion
  • Rich in natural sugars (fructose and glucose) for quick, sustained energy
  • A good source of potassium, magnesium, iron, and copper
  • Packed with antioxidants that help protect cells from damage
  • Naturally gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegan-friendly

Are dates suitable for people with diabetes?

Dates contain natural sugars but also have a moderate glycemic index — their high fiber content slows sugar absorption, making them gentler on blood sugar than many processed sweets. Many people with diabetes enjoy dates in moderation as part of a balanced diet. We always recommend consulting your doctor or nutritionist for personalized advice.

Storage & Shelf Life

How should I store my dates?

Storage depends on the variety:

  • Sukary Rateb: Refrigerate or freeze to preserve their soft, moist texture. Once opened, best consumed within a few days.
  • All other varieties (Ajwa, Saghai, Sukary Mftel): Store at room temperature in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.

What is the shelf life of your dates?

All our dates have a shelf life of 2 years from the production date, which is printed on the packaging.
